SOTU (Sound Of The Underground)

is a new three day festival in Amsterdam, which is happening on the 11th - 12 - 13th, May 2012. The festival will concentrate on alternative & independent music culture with noise, indie pop, psychedelia, avant-garde, global bass, improv jazz and underground dance.

A number of significant local organizations have joined forces (many working together for the first time) in creating an exciting and diverse line-up. These organizations and collectives include: AV-Club, Bomb Diggy, Club Lederhosen, Experimental Yetzet, Future Friday Feartures, Hallo Gallo, Lemon Community, de Peper, Plattegrond, Schijnheilig, Subbacultcha!, Toztizok Zound. All are representing their own 'niche' , giving the festival a unique musical flavor that reflects much of the local scene here in a coherent context.
